
On Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, the St. Augustine Film Society presents a screening of the French biopic, Coco Before Chanel (2009).
Written and directed by Anne Fontaine, the film details the early life of the well-known French fashion designer who created the blueprint for Parisian haute couture, Coco Chanel. From working as a seamstress and entertaining crowds in the cabaret, Coco eventually meets a wealthy man and becomes his fashion consultant. Eager to prove her worth and break the boundaries in women's clothing, she soon makes her mark by designing collections that represent elegance unlike any other.
Admission: $10.00 for the public. St. Augustine Film Society members are free.
