The St. Augustine Film Society hosts the Finnish movie Compartment No. 6 on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., at the St. Augustine Waterworks.

Directed by Juho Kuosmanen, and written by Kuosmanen, Andris Feldmanis, and Rosa Liksom, the story is essentially the classic "road trip" plot. A Finnish woman, played by Seidi Haarla, and a Russian miner, played by Yuri Borisov, must share a train compartment on the Trans-Siberian Railway.

While there is disinterest or even animosity at the start of the trip, the two ultimately form a connection as they share their pasts and thoughts.

Admission: $8.00 for non-members of the St. Augustine Film Society. Members are free.

When: Friday, October 20, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Where: St. Augustine Waterworks, 184 San Marco Ave St. Augustine Fl 32084

Getting There: While the address for the St. Augustine Waterworks Building is 184 San Marco Avenue, vehicle access is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot at 1960 Ponce de Leon Boulevard.
