The St. Augustine Music Festival has decided to postpone concerts, this one on August 20, 2021 and and the one scheduled for August 21, 2021.
The St. Augustine Music Festival is the largest free classical music festival in the U.S. The festival normally presents two full weekends of concerts featuring musicians from the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra joined by internationally renowned artists performing live at the Cathedral Basilica. The festival's aim is to offer St. Augustine visitors and locals an opportunity to appreciate classical music with a wide variety of selections.
On Aug. 20, 2021, the St. Augustine Music Festival will present a concert at the Cathedral Basilica, 38 Cathedral Place. While the concert is free, pre-registration is required.
The concert will feature Paganini's "Guitar Quartet No. 15," Alexander Borodin's "String Quartet No. 2" and Ravel's "Introduction and Allegro for Harp, Flute, Clarinet and String Quartet."
The St. Augustine Music Festival was founded in 2007 by Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra members Jorge A. Peña (viola) and Jin Kim-Peña (cello), with the invaluable participation and support of many other musicians and the local community.
