St. Augustine welcomes Spanish royalty on Friday, September 18, 2015, as part of the nation's oldest city 450th anniversary commemoration. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the King and Queen of Spain at noon at Government House on the Plaza.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia will arrive in St. Augustine in the morning. King Felipe VI will give a public address from the King's Balcony at Government House at approximately 12:00 p.m. Visitors should be in the Plaza de la Constitución by 11:45 a.m. to hear the King's address.

King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia were the last Spanish monarchs to visit the city back in 2001. They visited the Castillo de San Marcos, the Colonial Quarter, St. George Street, and the Government House. Juan Carlos I addressed the public much like his son, King Felipe VI, will do on Friday, September 18, 2015.

Admission: Free.

When? Friday, September 18, 2015, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Where? King Felipe VI will address the public from the King's Balcony at the Government House, which is ocated at 48 King Street next to the Plaza de la Constitución.

Parking: On-street parking downtown will be restricted on Friday, so visitors are encouraged to park at the city's downtown parking facility next to the Visitors Information Center at 10 W. Castillo Drive.
