Emma Concert Association presents another in their series of free events, "Words and Music at the Waterworks," on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The August concert features husband and wife duo, Laura and Chuck Rogers. Chuck is a guitarist, composer, and teacher and Laura is a flutist. Together, they play music from Bach to the Beatles, as well as some of Chuck's own compositions. Matt Loewy, Ian Opalinski, and Andre Martins make up the trio that is known as Ferris Deluxe. Matt, Ian, and Andre could be the poster guys for musicians and collaboration in St. Augustine. Each has a solo career, and each plays in one or more groups. All three are songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, and all have cobbled together a career in music based on talent, hard-work, friendships, and that ability to form collaborations.

A Mystic Faire is Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Center for Spiritual Living, 1795 Old Moultrie Road, St. Augustine.

Artists, healers, craftspeople, and mystics present their crafts and wares at the Mystic Faire. Crystals, rocks, stones, botanicals, jewelry, and crafts are for sale throughout the day.

This event is a celebration of the mystical. At the fair, you can learn about soul alignment, astrology, and other modalities while practitioners offer massage, biometry, reiki, and psychic readings.

JC Hatfield Duo

Two professional musicians harmonizing together all around town.

JC Hatfield has played music professionally since he was 18. This singer, songwriter, harmonica-playing guitarist has opened for renown performers including Doc Watson and T. Graham Brown, performing form Florida to California.

His singing voice has similar qualities to that of Willie Nelson, and he can sing material from Willie, Guy Clark, Merle Haggard and many others. While JC performs as a solo act, he much prefers the sound of two and three-part harmonies and can be heard around town as the JC Hatfield Duo, performing with Dennis Jack (Dino) Campbell.

In addition to the stand up performances, the event includes a lively comedic beauty competition, with one comedian being crowned Miss St. Augustine Beach.

The lineup includes Dan Venti, Patrick Sisk, Raab Russell, and others.
