Retired local physician Dr. Mehrotra will be honored at an exhibition of his paintings.

The St. Augustine Public Library hosts a reception to present the paintings of Dr. Badri Nath Mehrotra on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Dr. Mehrotra is a retired physician who practiced medicine in St. Augustine for many years. He studied art with Bill Leonard, Tony Couch, Pauline Henderson and others.

Dr. Mehorta works in the mediums of watercolor, pastel chalk, and acrylic.  His works will be on display at the library thorough February 3, 2023.

Admission: This event is free.

"It Starts With Me" is a community panel discussion and event on Monday, January 16th, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Lincolnville Museum.

Honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King and providing an insightful conversation on oppressive systems, a panel of scholars opens the conversation to the public.

Some of the panelists for the event include Floyd Philips, President of the Friends of Lincolnville, The City Commissioner, and others.

On three days during Black History Month — Thursday, Februrary 9, Saturday, February 18, and Sunday, February 19, the Ovico Gallery invites the public to an open house event. At each event guests may enjoy food and drink and tour the gallery of art that was created by Nigerian artist, Chike Onuorah. 

Food and beverages will be served at each of the three events. New works by the artist will be unveiled at the happy hour open house on Thursday, February 9, and there will be a live, virtual session with the artist on both Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19, 2023.
