Ponte Vedra lies west of Ponte Vedra Beach, just across the Intracoastal Waterway. Like the beach community, Ponte Vedra is home to golf courses and homes, as well as various stores and restaurants.
With many new developments, the most established being Nocatee, Ponte Vedra is a booming area for people moving to Northeast Florida. Families can often be seen outside enjoying the summer weather while walking or cruising in their golf carts.
Visitors will enjoy the open areas and parks in this region. For walkers and hikers, visit Nocatee Preserve and Nocatee Preserve Trail Head. Those who canoe or kayak will enjoy Nocatee Preserve Landing and the mountain bikers will love Nocatee Mountain Bike Trail. The entrance to Nocatee Preserve is 22 miles north of the Plaza de la Constitución in Historic Downtown.
