Marty Balin's complete collection of original paintings is on display at his signature studio, the 130 King Street Gallery. Known for his involvement in Jefferson Airplane, Marty Balin was a big player in the San Francisco music scene in the 1960s, opening the Matrix night club in August of 1965. In addition to Jefferson Airplane, iconic rock 'n' roll acts like The Grateful Dead, The Doors, and Janis Joplin performed at the Matrix.
