Fre Gordon founded his music store in 2015, during St. Augustine's 450th year, choosing "5th Century Music" as the name to commemorate the city's 5th century.
In a town filled with musicians and music venues, 5th Century Music caters to all musicians — from those just beginning to professionals — by presenting quality instruments, accessories, and service. 5th Century sells acoustic and electric guitars, ukeleles, mandolins, amplifiers, cords, strings, and other necessary items for musicians.
In 2024, the store moved to a much larger location at 78B Masters Drive in the West Augustine neighborhood.
Fre Gordon is a local musician who frequently hosts open mics in St. Augustine.
