Southern Horticulture, a family-owned and operated garden center founded in 1979, specializes in landscaping services, sustainable gardening, various plants, and supplies/tools. Its educated team is committed to Florida-friendly landscaping principles and is driven to create eco-friendly and water-efficient gardens. The business also gives back to the local community, working with non-profit organizations such as the Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS), Slow Food, Habitat for Humanity, Matanzas Riverkeeper, The Garden Club, Florida Wildlife Federation, and Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre (FOSAA).
Shop in its exclusive nursery and garden center featuring organic gardening products. View some customer favorites (Florida native plants, ground covers, and trees), decorative/indoor plants (perennials, annuals, and interior greenery), and edible/practical plants (vegetables, herbs, and fruits). There is a large pottery and ceramic planter collection—offered in different colors, sizes, and designs— that will elevate any indoor or outdoor space. Make your garden an oasis with accessories such as fountains, statues, arbors, and wind chimes.
Landscaping services are readily available for commercial and residential properties. Everything is taken care of, from installation and irrigation contracting to lighting and design drafts. Southern Horticulture utilizes the Florida-Friendly Landscaping principles: use native plants, water efficiently, fertilize, mulch, attract wildlife, manage yard pests, recycle yard waste, reduce stormwater runoff, and protect the waterfront.
