Bad Dog Mama and The Currys in Concert

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., local favorite, Bad Dog Mama (Chelsea Saddler and Lauren Gilliam), share the stage with The Currys, an indie trio from Virginia. 

Bad Dog Mama performs frequently in St. Augustine and has a loyal fan group that follows them from venue to venue. Chelsea Saddler and Lauren Gilliam form a harmony-driven duo, singing songs from several genres: doo-wop, rock in its many forms, R&B, folk, Americana, bluegrass, and originals. Their timing, vocal skills, and mind melding have them move seamlessly from one song to another during one of their rare and locally-famous medleys. Chelsea plays guitar, Lauren plays bass, and they take turns on the vocal leads and harmonies. 

The Currys, three family members who are singers and songwriters, also excel at harmonizing. The trio formed in 2013 as a harmony-based folk-rock group, with brothers Tommy and Jimmy on vocals and guitar and their cousin Galen on vocals and bass. They produced three full-length albums from 2014 to 2019. Over the years, they have expanded their sound to include original numbers reflecting the music they've found intriguing, from the Beatles to Jason Isbell. In 2023, the Currys teamed up with Sebastian Green on drums, Sam Whedon on guitar, and Alex Ress on keyboard to create their fourth studio album, Keepers.
