(904) 814-2172Keepers of the Coast welcomes volunteers, sponsors, and adoptees to assist in the 10th Annual "Day After" Beach Cleanup on Friday, July 5, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
This community-wide effort will take place at several beach access points in St. Johns County, including Mickler's Landing Beachfront Park, Vilano Beachfront Park, St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier, and the A Street Beach Access in St. Augustine Beach.
Keepers of the Coast is a local non-profit that seeks to promote coastal stewardship and the conservation of coastal habitat. Over the years, the group has removed some 600,000 cigarette butts from the beaches. At this year's "Day After" Beach Cleanup, a prize package of Keepers of the Coast gear will be awarded to the participant who collects the most cigarette butts at each location.
