The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the VA, hosts military veterans and their families at the Usina Boat Ramp for a day of Military Veteran Fishing on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
This hands-on event provides veterans of all abilities the chance to gain fishing skills, learn new techniques, and enjoy a morning of fishing and camaraderie. Participants will experience a mix of instructional activities and shore fishing, guided by knowledgeable staff to help make the most of this family-friendly outing.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own fishing equipment; however, gear can be provided if needed.
Please note that all participants must possess a valid shore saltwater fishing license or meet the exempt criteria as determined by the FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission).
Admission: Free. Participants must register online to secure a spot.
