The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the VA, welcomes military veterans and their families to the Military Veteran Fishing: Knot Tying Workshop at the Usina Boat Ramp on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

This interactive session is designed to teach veterans of all abilities essential knot-tying skills and fishing techniques. The program combines hands-on instruction with an opportunity to fish, while encouraging connection and camaraderie with fellow veterans and their families.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear; however, equipment can be provided if needed.

All attendees must possess a valid shore saltwater fishing license or qualify for an exemption under guidelines set by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

Admission: Free. Participants must register online to secure a spot.

When: Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
