The St. Johns Kids Swim Run Race takes place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club. This event is part of the Florida Race Day Kids Triathlon/Duathlon Series, designed exclusively for children ages 5-14.

This race is limited to just 100 participants and encourages early registration due to high demand. The race includes a swimming segment followed by a run.

Race distances are tailored to different age groups:

  • Ages 5-8: 50 yards swim and approximately 0.28 mile run.
  • Ages 9-11: 100 yards swim and approximately 0.55 mile run.
  • Ages 12-14: 150 yards swim and approximately 0.80 mile run.

The event is preceded by a course overview for parents and athletes at 8:30 a.m. Each child will receive a Florida Race Day shirt, a finisher medal, and race photos, with results posted online. Awards will be given to the top three males and females in each age group. Chip-timed with Velcro timing bracelets, this event also promotes environmental consciousness by encouraging participants to bring reusable water bottles to reduce plastic waste.
