Whitney Lab 5K

The University of Florida's Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience presents the Whitney Lab 5K on Sunday, April 13, 2025, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the River to Sea Preserve Trails. The proceeds from this race help fund community lectures, educational initiatives, facility improvements, and public events.

Register now because this race is limited to only 200 in-person participants.

Run or walk through the Matanzas Hammock Loop trail, completing three laps. The event also features a kids fun run, after the main race, on approximately 0.4 miles of the Scrub Loop.

Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking spaces. For those driving, complimentary parking is available at the following locations:

• Near the finish line
• River to Sea Preserve parking near the beach
• The DEP Marineland Field Station
• The public parking area at Whitney Laboratory (about 1/2 a mile from the starting line)

Registration: Participants can register for either the in-person or the virtual race. Registration costs between $30.00 and $45.00, depending on registration date.

Packet Pickup: Sunday, April 13, 2025, 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. at River to Sea Preserve Trails, 9805 Ocean Shore Boulevard, St. Augustine, Florida.
