Folk

The traditional genre of the common people, folk is not exemplified by heavy influence from mainstream culture, technology, or musical education. Folk music is a down-to-earth style utilizing acoustic instruments and manually created sounds. It's transmitted from person to person within a culture and makes use of simple tunes and melodic rhythms.
