Norah Jones
Nine-time Grammy winner's smooth vocals define her acclaimed jazz-pop sound.
Norah Jones' musical journey began early. Encouraged by her mother and inheriting a love of music from her father, sitar legend Ravi Shankar, her natural talent began to flourish. Norah's journey led her to Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. Early recognition fueled her passion, leading her to the University of North Texas' renowned jazz program.
Her debut album, Come Away With Me (2002), became a global phenomenon, blending jazz, pop, and country influences with her smooth, resonant voice. The record's success was monumental, sweeping the 2003 Grammy Awards with wins for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. This set the stage for a remarkable career that has garnered Jones nine Grammy Awards in total.
Fast forward to 2024, and Jones is back with her latest offering, Visions, released in March. This ninth studio album, described by Jones as "vibrant and joyous," finds her exploring new territory while retaining the warmth, intimacy, and timeless sound that have become her signature.
In support of her album, Jones is bringing her elegant and understated compositions to audiences across North America during the Visions Tour. During this tour, fans can catch Jones at the upcoming 2024 Sing Out Loud festival in St. Augustine. This event sees Jones sharing the stage with other notable performers like Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Noah Kahan, and Eric Church.
