From Jacksonville, the indie pop/rock band Coyboi is the duo of Cortnie Frazier and Ihlan Maglore. Both have been active members of the Jacksonville music scene for years, playing with various cover bands and in studio sessions.

They formed Coyboi in August 2020 to create music that uses their favorite genres: soul, R&B, rock, and emo music. With Coyboi, Cortnie and Ihlan get to create and play the music they want to create and play and take their music in any direction they choose. Their sound draws from pop, gospel, jazz, and rock.

Jamal Steele, a Christian hip-hop artist based in Pensacola, Florida, uses East Coast hip-hop to express his faith and spread his musical ministry. True to the East Coast sound, Steele relies heavily on high-quality music samples and keeps a narrative-centered focus. Bearing the imprint of jazz, soul, and funk elements, Steele's music is neatly packaged with a boom-bap delivery that elevates his lyrical skills without overshadowing them.
