EMMA Concert Association presents another in their series of free events, "Words and Music at the Waterworks," on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Yael Dray, guitarist and vocalist, and Jonathan Dotson, guitarist, perform in multiple genres including jazz standards, rumba, and flamenco. 

Emma Concert Association presents another in their series of free events, "Words and Music at the Waterworks," on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The topic is First Coast Opera and their upcoming production of Mozart's last opera, The Magic Flute. Curtis Tucker, First Coast Opera's general and artistic director will discuss select parts of the production and describe his process as artistic director.

The St. Augustine Film Society hosts a screening of the Danish thriller, The Guilty (2018) on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Waterworks.

This action-packed story, written and directed by Gustav Möller, begins with an alarming phone call received at an emergency dispatch center. Former police officer, Asger Holm, pieces together that the woman on the other line has been kidnapped, and the search for her, and the kidnapper, begins.

Admission: $10.00 for the public. Students and St. Augustine Film Society members are free.

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, the St. Augustine Film Society presents a screening of the French biopic and drama, La Vie en Rose (2007).

Written and directed by Oliver Dahan, the film tells the life story of the iconic French singer, Édith Piaf. From growing up in the slums of Paris and being raised in a brothel, to her rise to fame at the age of 19 years old, audiences are taken for a ride through the artist's struggles and romances.

In celebration of Black History Month, spend lunch on Wednesday, February 19, hearing how three African American women overcame barriers to reach their career goals.

The three speakers are:

• Cynthia Garris, City Commissioner of St. Augustine
• Robin Thomas, Executive Director of Compassionate St. Augustine
• Nola D. Oracle, CEO, Diaspora Film Productions

Learn how each of these women resisted limitations placed on them and persisted in moving forward. 

The event includes a catered lunch by Heart and Soul Catering.
