On Friday, March 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Waterworks, the St. Augustine Film Society is celebrating Women's History Month by screening Smoke Sauna Sisterhood (2023).

Written and directed by Anna Hints, the documentary explores women's innermost thoughts, feelings, and secrets while they spend time together in a sauna. By communicating with one another in this small, steamy space, the sauna represents women's shame evaporating and invites the healing power of sisterhood.

Note: There is some nudity throughout the film.

First Coast Opera and the Romanza Festivale present a free performance of The Stranger's Tale, on Friday, May 17, 2024, at noon, at the Ancient City Baptist Church.

Funded in part by the Romanza Festivale of the Arts and by the National Endowment for the Arts, this opera premiered in 2005 with an original libretto by Nelson Sheeley. First Coast Opera's Artistic Director, Curtis Tucker, wrote additional music for the production.

A clarinet and piano duo will perform ragtime, big band, swing, and jazz standards popular from the 1890s through the 1950s. Steve and Anna Marr will also take the time to share information and stories about each type of music and the era when it was first popular.

The University of Florida's Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience presents the Whitney Lab 5K on Sunday, April 13, 2025, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the River to Sea Preserve Trails. The proceeds from this race help fund community lectures, educational initiatives, facility improvements, and public events.

Derek Coghlan, a local educator, Shakespearean actor, and storyteller, relates tales and tall tales about small-town life in Ireland and Florida. He will present his new one-man show at the St. Augustine Waterworks on Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6, 2024, at 8:00 p.m.

Sundays with the St. Augustine Music Festival (SAMF) presents brothers Jordan Taylor on guitar and Michah Taylor on cello performing at the St. Augustine Arts Association on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The brothers lived in Ghana for 14 years and have researched the West African traditional music of the Mande Kingdom. Jordan Taylor founded the Ghana National Music Festival in 2015 to encourage and inspire the young people of Ghana toward a music career. 

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Sarbez presents the "Super Indie All-Stars: Cannibal Kids, MADWOMAN, Oceanic, and Buko Boys." These four indie bands have been hot on Spotify, writing original music, and performing throughout Florida and the South.

Recognized by Rolling Stone for its impact on the emo scene, co-founders T.J. Petracca and Morgan Reed are dedicated to supporting and entertaining the post-hardcore community.

"Secret Garden Party," a murder-mystery fundraising dinner, benefits the Prevention Coalition of St. Johns County. The event is on April 18, 2024, from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m., at Tringali Farm.
