Wyatt Ellis and Christopher Henry share the stage playing mandolins.

Wyatt & Christopher

Two outstanding mandolin players on one stage — The Wyatt & Christopher Show.

In the tradition of Gamble Rogers and established folk musicians everywhere, the Wyatt and Christopher Show presents a seasoned performer, and a rising young player, together on stage.

Wyatt Ellis asked his dad to buy him a used mandolin when he was only nine after hearing Bobby Osborn's solo in "Rocky Top." Then he took lessons and wanted to play alongside other bluegrass pickers. In 2020, his hero on the mandolin, Sierra Hull, chose to offer Wyatt a Tennessee Folklife apprenticeship. Wyatt was 11 years old.

Bill & the Belles

Four musicians with a love of Americana and Appalachian music, have created a unique and fun modern band with an old-time feel.

How does one describe a band that has obvious and deep roots planted in old, classic, country music (think Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs) and share a collective sense of humor and thoroughly modern mindset? This is Bill & the Bells.

First, there is no "Bill." Singer and guitarist Kris Truelsen plays Bill on TV and stage. The Belles are fiddler and singer Kalia Yeagle, and  banjo/banjo-uke player and singer Aidan VanSuetendael. Bassist Andrew Small keeps the beat and fills in the bottom, receiving no stage name in the process.

Annie and the Hot Club Trio

Annie & The Hot Club Trio

This trio from Annie Sellick's Hot Club Band is comprised of Annie Sellick, and two guitarists — Richard Smith, and Pat Bergeson.

Annie Sellick is a jazz artist from a country music town. She began singing jazz when she was in college, before she knew anything about the iconic jazz singers who came before. While at a bar in Tennessee, she sat in with guitarist Roland Gresham, Sr. and blew the audience away with her "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", landing a job with the band.

After that, she added to her knowledge by attending classes at the Nashville Jazz Workshop, and ultimately made a name for herself as an outstanding  jazz singer in Nashville.

Now based in Portland, Oregon, singer, songwriter, and guitarist Hadley Parrish-Cotton grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Their parents were active in Jacksonville's music industry during Hadley's youth. The JAX community (along with the works of Tom Waits and Bob Schneider) inspired the young musician to find refuge in playing, singing, and writing songs. Indeed, Hadley's original song "Coastal Kid" focuses on the highs and lows of growing up as a Florida local.
