History of Lincolnville Park

This park honors George and Ollie Smith who are admirable pillars of the community. The couple moved to the area in the 1950s and opened their home for refuge during the Civil Rights Movement. They housed activists in the Freedom Summer of 1964 and also marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
